Alex and the Life team started working with us after meeting Parley Green at the National Funeral Exhibition (NFE) 2026. A few months on, we asked how it was going. What struck Alex most wasn't just the coffin itself. It was the reaction.
A little less sadness in the room
Families tell Life that the designs take away a little of the sadness. Mourners talk about them as they leave the chapel. Even the local crematorium staff enjoy seeing each new design arrive.
For a funeral director, that matters. A coffin is often the focal point of a service, and when it reflects the person who has died, it gives people something to connect with and talk about, rather than something to look away from.
Built to be taken seriously
Our coffins are made from sustainable board, and one of the questions funeral directors ask us most is whether families will notice. Alex's answer:
"You actually forget that they are made from cardboard."
